Porsche aroused the curiosity of many car enthusiasts with today's announcement that an all-new model will make its world debut at the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show, alongside the 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera.

The German automaker said in a press release that the intriguing new Porsche boasts ''impressive performance and dynamic looks, exuding unadulterated driving pleasure.''

Thankfully, we won't have to wait long to uncover this mystery as Porsche will hold the premiere during the show's Media Day on November 16th.

The Porsche 911 Carrera will simultaneously appear in North America for the very first time. Lighter, and riding on a wheelbase that's 100 mm longer than the previous generation, it will come standard with a 3.4L 6-cylinder engine that cranks out 350 horsepower.

Meanwhile, the Carrera S will make good use of a 3.8L unit rated at 400 hp.
