The 2004 Nissan Pathfinder Armada is making its way to the streets. As a follow up to the regular midsize Pathfinder, the new model is the automaker's first full-sized SUV.
Is the Armada, which means 'fleet of warships,' coming to conquer the full-size SUV segment dominated by the domestic manufacturers? That may take some time, but its 5.6-liter V-8 engine, featuring over 300 horsepower and 375 lb-ft of torque, should raise some eyebrows. A 5-speed automatic transmission comes standard, elevating this truck a notch above the domestics again.

Its exterior design, pulling strong cues from the Japanese brand's full-size Titan pickup truck that premiered in January at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, showcases chrome front-door handles, standard running boards, and a chrome-plated steel bumper. In addition, all Armada's come with a tire pressure monitor system.
Everyone appreciates cupholders, right? The Armada includes fourteen liquid carriers, each of which can accommodate a 2-liter (64 oz) bottle. Other interior features include folding second and third row bench seats, the latter elevated theatre style. A DVD entertainment system with wireless headphones and remote will be optional.
Armada buyers will be able to choose from SE, SE Off-Road, and LE models with both 4X4 and 4X2 versions available when arriving at dealerships this fall.
