Nissan Juke to get GT-R engine for SEMA?

By ,

So, we all got a little excited about Nissan's spunky little Juke getting an R badge -- so excited in fact, that we imagined it would be heading to SEMA this year.

Turns out the rumours are false and an inside source at Nissan has confirmed that the "super" Juke will not be present at this year's SEMA show in Las Vegas. Despite the fact that we won't be able to drool over it in person (as we will be attending, so make sure you keep an eye out for upcoming coverage next month), we can still salivate over the Juke-R's specs.

The rather aggressive-looking Juke-R boasts a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 that cranks out 480 hp and achieves 0-60 mph sprints (0-96 km/h) in less than 4.0 seconds. Bet you don't think it looks like a frog now, do you? The vehicle will also feature all-wheel drive and a number of technical upgrades including heavy-duty brakes to minimize torque steer and handle the massive output.

The debate about the auto industry's ultimate sleeper is on: Nissan's ''Super'' Juke or this 728-hp Toyota Camry ?
