Nissan's latest ad is no smoke show (video)

While the entire world was watching the new model debuts at the 2011 New York International Auto Show, including a number of gas-guzzling, V8-powered cars, Nissan found a way to direct people's attention to the environmentally-friendly LEAF with the help of TBWA/Chiat/Day.

They paid to have a gigantic advertising spot right in the middle of the Big Apple. One of the two adjacent billboards shows a smoking tailpipe and reads ''The auto show has over 1,000 of these''. The other puts the newest World Car of the Year in full view and reads ''But only one 100%-electric, zero-tailpipe Nissan LEAF''.
