Porsche Cayenne Arctic Route Adventure: the Adventure continues!

By ,

It is with great dismay that Matt showed up at the office this morning. As we mentioned in our very first article on this great road trip, we knew full well that he was going to return.

Despite the unfortunate setback where no one was hurt, losing the Cayenne Turbo , the remainder of Matt's leg was relatively problem free. If you take the time to scroll through his reports, you'll notice that he stayed at nice regular hotels, mostly ate normal meals and faced some generally clear roads. The only obstacle in the road was a contingency of Wood Bison.

Now that Lesley has climbed on board, her part will be far more challenging to both the participants and the Cayennes. Already, she's crossed into Alaska and the scenery has changed. Gone are the tall pine trees and any signs of leafy trees. Instead, shrubs and dwarf conifers make up most of the horizon. They, and some extraordinary mountains. The Rockies are over-the-top.

The ambient temperature will continue to drop and the use of a thick winter jacket will become mandatory. On his leg of the trip, Matt never once zipped up his coat or ever even broke out his boots from his luggage. Lesley won't last very long in sneakers and a sweater.

The looooong road ahead the troops awaits and they're more determined than ever to make it to the top of the World!

As Lesley put it: Yippee Cayenne mother truckers!
