Porsche lowers pricing for all 2008 Canadian models

By ,

Porsche Cars North America (PCNA) announced that it will lower prices by more than 10 percent on its 2008 models. This is great news for fans of the German brand across Canada. According to the President and Chief Executive Officer of PCNA, Peter Schwarzenbauer, this decision is further proof that Porsche listens carefully to its customers and dealers.
That said, the rise of the Canadian dollar, which is now worth the same as the U.S. dollar, gives Canadian consumers an excellent reason to go shopping South of the border, where vehicles are usually 10-30 percent cheaper than over here. Porsche will thus lower the MSRP of its 2008 models by an average of more than 8 percent. Additionally, on an average equipment adjusted basis, the 2008 models will offer another 2 percent in savings from 2007 models.Here are the prices for all 2008 Porsches in Canadian dollars: (Model - 2006/2007 MSRP* - 2008 MSRP) Cayenne Tiptronic - $64,300 - $59,400Cayenne - $60,100 - $55,200Cayenne S - $80,100 - $72,200Cayenne Turbo - $126,900 - $115,300Cayman - $69,600 - $63,500Cayman S - $83,300 - $75,300Cayman S Porsche Design -- n/a - $89,100Boxster - $63,600 - $58,100Boxster S - $77,300 - $70,200Boxster Limited Edition - n/a - $61,700Boxster S Limited Edition - n/a - $73,900911 Carrera - $100,700 - $93,200911 Carrera S - $114,800 - $105,800911 Carrera Cabriolet - $114,800 - $105,800911 Carrera S Cabriolet - $128,900 - $118,400911 Carrera 4 - $108,700 - $100,400911 Turbo - $170,700 - $158,300911 Carrera 4S - $122,800 - $113,100911 Targa 4 - $119,100 - $109,700911 Targa 4S - $133,200 - $122,400911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet - $122,800 - $113,100911 Carrera 4S Cabriolet - $136,900 - $125,700911 Turbo Cabriolet - n/a - $171,000 911 GT3 - $147,300 - $133,800911 GT2 - n/a - $235,400911 GT3 RS - $171,200 - $155,100 * Does not include destination charge of $1,085 for sports cars; $1,115 for Cayennes. photo: Porsche
