Eight-time Dakar winner truck team Kamaz may miss the event due to airport chaos in Europe.

The Russian team won the trucks' race eight times since 2000, and won the last two editions of the Dakar , as Vladimir Chaguin and Firdaus Kabiraus shared victories in the event.

But Kamaz, who planned to run four trucks this year, is not sure to be able to reach Argentina before the start of the race in Buenos Aires, on Saturday January 1st.

The whole team is currently stuck in Moscow and fighting for a way to leave Europe, where numerous flights have been cancelled due to the snow.
