Ranger to participate in Rolex 24 testing

How do some NASCAR drivers prepare for the 2008 season? Simply by participating at the Rolex 24 Daytona sports car event! Indeed, many NASCAR drivers share some driving time for teams that need three to five drivers per car. So, don't be surprised to see some of the top NASCAR drivers testing this weekend for the upcoming 24-hour event to be held at the beginning of February. For example, 2007-champion Jimmy Johnson will be part of the Bob Stallings Racing entry this Sunday. And expect Juan Pablo Montoya (who was part of the Chip Ganassi team winning in last year's race) to team up with new teammate Dario Franchitti in one of the three-day test for Ganassi. Kurt Busch will drive for Penske-Taylor Racing while A.J. Allmendinger will do the same for Michael Shank Racing. Boris Said, a road-race veteran will be at the wheel of a Blackforest Motorsports car and Max Papis will drive for AutoHaus Motorsports. But we have no news about Tony Stewart who usually runs the 24-hour race. At the last minute, we learned that NASCAR Canada's champion, Andrew Ranger will also be testing, this time for Canada's AIM Motorsport. He is expected to run the Rolex 24 and most probably the ARCA 200 later in February. To be followed...
