Recall on nearly 20,000 Ford F-150, Flex models from 2014

By ,

Ford of Canada is recalling 19,975 F-150 pickups and Flex crossovers from 2014 because a defect in the manually adjustable seat tracks may cause the occupant classification system to incorrectly register the weight of the seat occupant.

This problem could affect or disable the airbags and other supplemental restraint systems, and therefore could increase the risk of injury to the seat occupant in a crash that warrants airbag deployment and/or other supplemental restraint system function.

Ford dealers will adjust seat track spacing and recalibrate the occupant classification system.
