either a 3 door or 5 door model. The Astra completes a plan to quickly re-invent the Saturn lineup of products. It will take a place beside the all new Sky, Vue, Outlook and Aura in showrooms. The Astra venture is part of a program between Saturn and Opel, in which both manufactures share design and engineering resources, allowing each to create broader product lineups and attract more consumers. Other examples of this collaboration include the Saturn Sky and upcoming Opel GT. When the Astra goes on sale, no Saturn model will be more than 20 months old- the freshest product lineup in the industry."The Astra is a great fit for Saturn, with its European style and driving dynamics," said Jill Lajdziak, GM of Saturn. "It also signals our efforts to get new vehicles to market quickly and reinvent the entire Saturn product lineup with unprecedented speed."Saturn plans to unveil the 2008 Astra at the Chicago Auto Show this February.
