Saturn will put the 2001 version of its 3-door SC coupe on the market in a couple of months, featuring exterior and interior changes that the company says were customer- and dealer-driven.Saturn's Canadian-born president, Cynthia Trudell, says, "Our redesigned 2001 SC Coupe reflects numerous changes based on feedback from our two most important audiences -- Saturn customers and retailers. It is a true example of how we apply customer feedback to new products."
The completely restyled exterior wraps around the major interior changes added just six months earlier for the 2000 model year, which includes a new interior, extensive updates in the electronic systems that provide significant new safety and security features, and reduced engine noise.
With a Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) starting at $16,248, says Trudell, "the world's only three-door coupe continues to be one of the best values in the small car segment. We're very confident that the 2001 Saturn SC coupe suggested pricing, coupled with even more standard equipment, will be very well received by consumers."
The MSRP for the Saturn SC1 includes a 5-speed manual transmission and now also includes an AM/FM stereo with CD and four coaxial speakers as standard equipment.
The more powerful and better equipped Saturn SC2 with a manual transmission has an MSRP of $21,523 and includes air conditioning, cruise control, power windows and mirrors, power locks, remote keyless entry and AM/FM stereo with CD and four coaxial speakers as standard equipment.
