NASCAR : Jimmie Johnson signed a five- year contract extension Friday to drive for Hendrick Motorsports through the 2015 season.

Formula 1 : The FIA is contemplating a penalty in the wake of Toyota's decision to withdraw from F1. Sauber must wait for the spot.

WTCC : Yvan Muller and Gabriele Tarquini crashed hard during the WTCC qualifying session in Macau. They were uninjured but both cars were severely damaged.

NASCAR : Former McLaren F1 driver Heikki Kovalainen is expected to attend the NASCAR finale in Miami this weekend.
