Bryan Moul of Vancouver B.C. probably didn't think anything special of the Smart ForTwo he just purchased, but for Smart Canada his new vehicle is a milestone. It's the 10,000th Smart sold in Canada- a testament to the brands success which came just months before the German economy carmakers third anniversary here.
Moul, a 46 year old father of two uses the ForTwo for a 45 to 60 minute commute to work each day. It's his first brand new car- and it attracts more attention than he was expecting. "I wasn't expecting the Smart ForTwo to attract this much attention - everywhere Igo, people want to look inside and ask all kinds of questions" he comments. "Earlier today, two ladies stopped me outside a coffee shop; they wanted to look in the back to see if their golf clubs would fit, one of the women actually climbed into the driver's seat!"But the ForTwo isn't all about collecting stares from curious passers by. Moul says he's particularly impressed with the mileage, and can more than handle the $18 bill to fill its tank. Sales figures are astounding, considering original forecasts were of just 3,000 units in the same three-year period. photo: Philippe Champoux
