The 2013 smart fortwo makes its Canadian premiere this week at the Vancouver Auto Show with a new exterior design and updated leather/fabric mix for the upholstery.

A substantially revamped exterior features a larger grille with integrated logo, newly designed front bumper, horizontally arranged running lights, plus modified side skirts and rear bumper.

Four new alloy wheel choices are on board including three Brabus Monoblock alloys in silver, high gloss black or matte grey. Seven exterior colours are available, including new anthracite matte. Three soft top choices (red, black and blue) are available to cabrio buyers.

Pure, passion and Brabus trims will still be available in coupé and cabriolet versions. The smart fortwo electric will arrive this fall; you can preorder yours at a dealership now.

Prices range from $14,400 for a pure coupé to $23,900 for a Brabus cabrio; electric pricing has not yet been announced.
