For the California, it as his second victory of the season after he won the season opener in St-Petersburg.

De Phillippi crossed the finish line two hours late due to a rain delay, but still with 2.4 seconds in hand over his Team Pelfrey teammate Nick Andries.

Rounding out the top-5 were 2010 USF2000 champion Sage Karam who qualified and finished third, French racer Tristan Vautier and Brazilian racer J.V. Horto, who started from 6th on the grid.

The race went green all the way and the top half of the field finished pretty much in starting order.
