Apart from the 24 cars from the 12 teams taking part in the 2010 Championship, 18 single-seaters were present to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Formula 1 Championship, from 1950 until today, with some ex-World Champion cars.

There were also four Ferraris…and a half: together with a 375 F1, a 500 F2, a 158 F1 and a 312 T4 there was also the chassis from a 125 GPC reinterpreted as a Thinwall Special.

All these wonderful cars were driven by exceptional people: there were 18 of the 20 former World Champions alive present here in Sakhir (Nelson Piquet and Kimi Raikkonen were missing).

Some of them, like Jody Scheckter and John Surtees even sat behind the wheels of their World Championship cars and drove around the track to the delight of the spectators.
