Subaru will show the XV Crosstek at the New York Auto Show next month, following its world premiere in Frankfurt last September.
This new compact SUV features Subaru’s symmetrical all-wheel drive, a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder boxer engine and CVT, to offer impressive fuel economy of just over 7L/100km according to Subaru, which would make it the most fuel efficient all-wheel-drive crossover on the market. Off-road capability is helped by 8.7 inches of ground clearance.
Two trims choices will be available to the U.S. market: Premium and Limited. Limited will feature infotainment gizmos such as multi-function navigation system with 6.1-inch touchscreen display.
As essentially a raised, five-door Impreza, the XV will feature the sedan’s nicely appointed cabin.
The XV will hit U.S. shores in the fall.
