The British manufacturer specializing in automotive design and A to Z vehicle development is convinced that its composite monococque technology, dubbed iStream, is potentially the biggest revolution in the automotive world since the Ford Model T .

The same type of technology is used in Formula 1, enabling the absorption of a huge amount of energy. In addition, manufacturers that use the design can build lighter cars that require less energy to produce compared to vehicles manufactured the conventional way.

Gordon Murray says a road-ready prototype of the T.27 will be finalized by spring 2011. If you’re unfamiliar with the man, he worked on the ultra high-performance, exclusive McLaren F1.
