A few months ago, Ford announced that a redesigned Mustang was scheduled for 2010. Well, it looks like the American automaker has made considerable progress in the development of the new machine. Last Saturday, as part of "Ford Mustang Day", the next generation of this automotive icon attended a vintage car race at Elkhart Lake, in Wisconsin.
In order to build hype around the new Mustang, parts of it had been camouflaged by Ford. Still, we can see that the front and rear ends are totally redesigned. Meanwhile, the side profile remains in line with the current car. Ford took advantage of this event to showcase various other famous machines, including a few GT s that completed a short lapping session. There was also a 1983 Mustang GTP celebrating its 25th anniversary, not to mention four Shelby Cobras . photo: Ford
