DETROIT Intier Automotive was introduced today to the automotive OEM community by its President and CEO, Don Walker.
Intier Automotive debuts as a single-source, comprehensive developer, manufacturer, integrator, and just-in-time assembler and sequencer of vehicle interior components and systems as well as complete door, closure and cockpit modules. The name Intier is derived from a combination of sources: automotive interiors, plus the Tier One competence to automotive manufacturers, as well as innovation and ingenuity. Intier will be recognized as a symbol of craftsmanship and innovation, fostered by Magna's unique heritage.
Organized from three former Magna operating groups: Atoma Closure Systems, Magna Interior Systems and Magna Seating Systems, Intier Automotive is a world leader in the integration of complete interior systems, including cockpits, instrument panels, modular door systems and panels, center consoles, headliners and overhead systems, complete seat systems and specialty seat mechanisms, and closure systems.
Intier Automotive will be headed by Don Walker, most recently President and CEO of Magna International. Having led Magna for the past 10 years during its greatest period of overall growth and profitability, Mr. Walker is now turning his attention to the challenges of growing Intier Automotive and addressing its day-to-day operations in a dynamic industry.
