After having crowned the 2018 Audi Q5 and Honda Accord tech king and queen, automotive website Kelley Blue Book recently presented the 10 best and most essential technologies on the market for 2018. In other words, you’ll want your next car to feature these systems.
The 10 technologies listed reflect the degree of progress made by the automotive industry in recent years in developing new systems and provide a peek at what new features consumers can expect to find in their next new car, truck or SUV.
In no particular order, here they are:
1. Intelligent mobile apps
Smartphones are in the process of transforming the vehicles we drive. The majority of manufacturers offer sophisticated infotainment systems, some of which are equipped with applications that allow these systems to communicate easily with the outside world or, inversely, allow people to send commands remotely (for example to lock the doors, start the engine, check the fuel or battery-charge level, etc.). Make sure you are aware of any applicable monthly charges, however.
