We never get tired of talking about the Honda Civic . Especially not when the new 9th generation is just about to hit the streets. In order to welcome the new car, we thought we'd look back on the previous 8 generations and pull out our 10 favourite versions of the acclaimed Civic. Here they are:
10 - 1973 Civic 1500
We could not have a Top 10 list on the Civic without starting with the beginning or is that ending with the beginning... Back in 1973, Honda introduced what was to become their halo bread & butter car. With a 50 hp 4-cylinder engine and an ultra-low curb weight, the Civic managed an easy 40 US mpg (5.9L / 100 km) 40 mpg doesn't sound so special now does it? Sweet car!
