37. Inviting Neighborhoods
When we mentioned at the outset that New York in the 1960s and 70s was not very inviting for tourists, this was the kind of neighborhood where it was better not to find oneself.

This 1973 Ford Torino came to a tragic end. Its owner may have come out of it damaged as well. One can only wonder what could have caused such an accident. A little bet on alcohol?
39. Snowstorm of 1979
In 1979, New York City was hit by a storm that left some 30 cm of snow on the ground. While this amount is more routine in our country, it causes a lot more problems for our neighbors to the south and we can imagine that with the cars of the time, the city must have been pretty much paralyzed for a while.
