29. Madison Avenue, in 1972
If you're a car lover with a sensitive nature, it probably hurts to see so many future classic cars being driven in the snow and slush.
30. 141st Street, 1972
Here’s a 1971-72 Ford LTD – perfect for cutting a striking figure in black-and-white slacks, the Hudson River just visible in the background.
31. Intersection of 92nd Street and Broadway, 1975
This car appears to be a 1970 Pontiac Le Mans. What's striking is that after only five or six years on the market, it looks like a car that's been around for 20 years. Also note the presence of winter tires in the rear and summer rubber in the front. In many cases, people were content to replace only two tires in the winter or summer.
32. Harlem, 1971
An image that speaks for itself, but which so captures the spirit of New York in the 70s. The car is a 1958 Cadillac Fleetwood Sixty Special. In the background a Rambler Cross Country can be seen driving by.
