9 – Ford Mustang GT convertible
A little less practical than the Prius v, the Ford Mustang GT is one of our top 10 road trip vehicles because it just seems the right thing to do. If you’re going to head out on the open road, tackle Route 66, traverse the Rockies, whatever it is; you should be doing it in a drop-top Mustang. It may not offer up much trunk space, but (weather permitting) the ability to feel the wind in your hair for days on end will do wonders for your psyche (and your tan).
