Back to School 2019: 14 New Vehicles Under $20,000! Here are the best affordable choices for students and young car shoppers

Nissan Sentra S $16,698 (plus $1,670 transport and preparation)

As of this moment, and subject to change of course, the Nissan Sentra S is the most affordable new compact car available in Canada. The thing is, the model is unchanged or almost since the 2013 model-year, which means it’s due for a renewal. As it happens, that is on track to happen soon!

But while we await that made-over Sentra, the current edition represents a much more comfortable option than the Versa Note… and even than the Kicks. As for the manual gearbox of the S edition, yes indeed that’s what you’ll get if you want the best possible price!
