The seemingly interminable wait is almost over: Chevrolet is busy making the final tweaks to the eighth generation of the Corvette to see the light of day. This one will definitely be convention-busting, as the engineers at Chevy have placed the engine behind the seats, unlike the previous seven iterations of the iconic sports model. We don’t know any of the specs yet, but it’s clear that by going with an architecture like this, Chevrolet is going after a different class of performance-car buyer.
