2025 Ford Mustang GTD
For those with fond memories of the Mustang Boss 302, but also for those with a soft spot for track-based specials in the vein of the Porsche GT3 RS, the GTD is coming to make you happy.
Built around the latest Mustang’s platform released last year, the GTD adds a 5.2L supercharged V8 good for 800 hp as well as a dual-clutch automatic. The engine’s dry sump oil system is a first for any road-going Mustang and its rear pushrod suspension is shared with the GT3 race car.
The front setup isn’t of the pushrod variety, but its unequal-length control arms will still make for a formidable track weapon.
When is the Ford Mustang GTD coming?
Production of the Mustang GTD is expected to start in late 2024 or early 2025. That would like mean deliveries of the model starting in summer 2025.
