Yes, this should probably be called the EQG – much simpler. But this full-electric take on Mercedes’ world-famous Uber SUV is the first vehicle to make use of a new nomenclature for Mercedes’ electric vehicles.
If you ever wondered what a G-Class with almost 860 lb-ft of torque would feel like or what it’s like to both climb rocks and bash through the desert in a full-EV, the G 580 will be here soon to answer that question. Also, if you ever wondered what it’s like to spin your SUV on its axis in one spot, the G can do that, too, thanks to its having an electric motor for each wheel.
When is the Mercedes-Benz G 580 coming?
The 2025 G 580 with EQ Technology is expected to arrive in Canada in the second half of 2024.
