Like the RDX and the Sorento, the new version of the Honda Pilot has also outperformed its 2018 predecessor and gotten upgraded to a Top Safety Pick+ rating. Although, it underperforms compared to those two SUV models specifically in the passenger-side small overlap crash test, earning an Acceptable rating; for the rest, it’s all Good. Like the RDX, it does best in the Crash Avoidance and Mitigation category, scoring a Superior result.
