The popularity of subcompact SUVs is not only due to mass-market models, but also through the work of premium and luxury brands. Ten or 15 years ago, the few high-end entrants on the market carried high price tags alright, but in general they didn't really deliver the goods in terms of high quality. The Mercedes-Benz B-Class was a good example at the time.
With the new GLB, introduced last year, we can say that, as far as the Silver Star manufacturer is concerned, those days are over. While the sumptuousness on board is not on a par with that of an S-Class, we’re nevertheless in the presence of a true luxury product here. Watch out for the options catalog, however, as the damage to your pocketbook can rise quickly.
