Buick Le Sabre

A follow-up to the Y Job would only come after the Second World War. The 1951 Buick Le Sabre was another design study created by Harley Earl. Clear on it was the influence of aviation, especially jet planes, in the overall design.

1902 Olds

This line of products from the now-defunct Oldsmobile brand dates from the very beginning of the last century; the first one was produced in 1902, and the most recent from 1911. The brand was created in 1897 by Ransom E. Olds (whose initials, REO, would become widely known later one), and its most popular model early on was the Curved Dash (second in line in the photo). Olds sold his company to the founder of General Motors, William C. Durant, in 1908.
