4 – 2019 Nissan LEAF: 81.87 points
The Nissan LEAF is a historically important model in the trade, as it was the first truly affordable electric car to be offered to consumers, and the first to be designed specifically with this in mind. The second-generation LEAF, introduced in 2018, managed to place fourth on AAA’s newest list of best green cars on the market. Its strengths, according to the panel of judges, were the solid driving dynamics and the ProPilot Assist system. On the negative side of the ledger, the experts noted limited interior space and charging capacity below the standards you would expect, at only 6.6 kWh.
