9 –Jeep Scrambler 1981-1986
In 1981, the model lineup welcomed a new version called the Scrambler. Based essentially on the CJ-7 variant, it did have a wheelbase longer by 10 inches (for 104 vs 94). Its maker sold 7,840 units in all that year, versus 6,516 units of the more-traditional J Series pickups.
