The Scootacar was developed in 1957 by British train manufacturer Hunslet. The process for conceiving and designing the model was, to say the least, original: Creator Henry Brown sat behind an engine while one of his assistants drew the future outline of the car on the floor.

Built with a steel chassis, this three-wheeled creation featured a fiberglass body with only one door, on its left side. This car could be delivered in three colours: red, blue and ivory.

In 1939, Peugeot introduced its first three-wheeled delivery motorcycle, the Trimoteur. It promised to be the fastest and most economical delivery tool available. It was built like a motorcycle except that a large box was mounted between the front wheels.

After the Second World War, Europeans clamoured for affordable means of transportation, and thus Peugeot modified its Trimoteur to become a Triporteur. This vehicle debuted commercially in 1949. Maximum speed: 77 km/h.
