Toronto 2011: Honda CR-Z and Accord Coupe get REMIX treatment

By ,

Honda made a splash with REMIX variants of its CR-Z and Accord Coupe today at the 2011 Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto. Developed in association with Performance Auto & Sound Magazine (PASMAG), the models showcase the tuning potential of these two Honda products.

An AEM cold air intake, a new Magnaflow stainless steel exhaust, BC Racing ER-Series coilovers, 18-inch Enkei wheels wrapped in high-performance Yokohama S.Drive tires as well as matte white paint and matte black accents combine to give the CR-Z REMIX a very unique look.

PASMAG also fitted a hair-raising, earth-shaking sound system. The original stereo was replaced with JVC’s premier navigation head unit complete with a 6.1-inch touchscreen display, high-end Arsenal amplifiers, subwoofers and speakers.

The Accord Coupe REMIX received a similar treatment, including the cold air intake, Magnaflow exhaust, 4-piston larger front brakes and 19-inch Enkei wheels wrapped in high-performance Continental ContiSport Contact 3 tires. Matte white paint and black accents are part of the mix, too.

Inside, the shock-and-awe audio upgrade consists in powerful Phoenix Gold amplifiers and subwoofers matched with Energy speakers.

The new Honda CR-Z REMIX and Accord Coupe REMIX are on display from February 18 to 27 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
