Toyota and Uber join forces Rival Volkswagen teams up with Uber rival Gett

Toyota has just entered a strategic partnership with Uber. Drivers representing the latter will now have the opportunity to lease Toyota vehicles with money earned from their driving, CBC News reports.

The amount Toyota will invest in Uber has not been specified, however. The various markets to benefit from their collaboration are still unknown, as well.
In related news, Volkswagen is spending $300 million USD to support Gett, a rival of Uber that offers a taxi-booking app.
