V6-powered Ferrari may be coming by 2019 Along with two new Alfa engines

Oh, how things have changed since Ferrari chairman Luca di Montezemolo handed over the reigns to Sergio Marchionne.

Motor Trend 's Jonny Lieberman, citing an inside source at Fiat-Chrysler , last week tweeted a scoop about a twin-turbocharged, V6-powered Ferrari coming to market by 2019 at a price of around $180,000 USD.

Lieberman hinted that this baby Ferrari could rival the McLaren 570S and Mercedes-AMG GT not only in terms of pricing but also performance.

In related news, Fiat-Chrysler will develop two new engines for future Alfa Romeo cars (whose identity remains unknown) in an effort to solidify the brand. Look for 4- and 6-cylinder units, with the latter derived from Ferrari.
