VIDEO: 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid at Detroit Auto Show

By ,

The Fusion has been a huge hit for Ford since its arrival in 2006 in Canada. In the US, the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord are more often considered by the buying public. It would seem as though this will all change now.

Aesthetically inspired by the Euro Mondeo, the new Fusion has a far more dynamic and fluid appeal. It will be motivated by a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine and electric motor that combine for a total of 185 hp and 130 lb-ft of torque. The kicker is that Ford expects the car to consume as little as 5.0L per 100 km in the city and 5.3L on the highway. This would make the 2013 Fusion hybrid the most efficient midsize hybrid of all.
