2008 Golf Variant In North American speak, that means Rabbit Wagon, which we will not be getting. Actually, we will receive a wagon version of the Jetta; essentially the same as the Golf, sorry, Rabbit... The Golf Variant is over a foot longer that the Golf/Rabbit and offers a huge boot. At first, the 140 hp 1.4L TFSI, 105 hp and 140 TDi engines will be available.
Passat Bluemotion
BlueMotion is the name that Volkswagen has given to their "version" of Mercedes-Benz' Bluetec clean diesel technology. The frugal 105 hp 4-cylinder requires only 5.1L to travel i100 km in the sedan and 1 tenth more in the wagon. With a full tank, the Passat can trek 1,350 km. It is expected that the Passat BlueMotion and BlueMotion technology will make its way to North America.
