It allows the driver to choose how to use the power available from the gas and electric engines at the simple touch of a button. Three modes offer three distinct personalities: Pure, Hybrid and Power.

In Pure mode, the car is propelled uniquely by the electric motor as long as possible. It delivers a maximum range of 56 km and zero emissions while driving in town.

The Volvo XC60 starts in Hybrid mode by default, where it emits 53 g/km of CO2 according to the New European Driving Cycle, sips just 2.3L/100 km of fuel and can travel up to 960 km on a single tank.

Power mode optimizes the XC60’s technology to pack the biggest possible punch. The gasoline engine, which puts down 280 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque, teams up with the electric motor’s 70 ponies and 148 lb-ft of instant torque to catapult the car from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.1 seconds.
