WRC: Sebastien Loeb already stopped!

By ,

Sebastien Loeb (Citroen DS3) was forced to an early retirement after mechanical issues in the ESS3 in the rally de France Alsace.

Seven-time world champion was leading after the two first special stages, but had to stop his DS3 in the middle of the ES3 with a broken engine.

Dramas in the ES3, as both Ford drivers went off. Latvala and Hirvonen could rejoin the race but Hirvonen lost more than fourty seconds in the incident. Kimi Raikkonen (Citroen DS3) went off in the road section between ES2 and ES3 while warming his tires.

Sebastien Ogier (Citroen DS3) was leading after ES4 in front of Petter Solberg’s DS3, and both Mini driven by Sordo and Meeke.

Sebastien Loeb may not be able to be back on Saturday with super rally regulation.
