ZENN takes action to expand its retailer network

By ,

ZENN Motor Company, a leading electric vehicle manufacturer, hired two new executives, Vicki Northrup and Eric Burmeister, in a move that will undoubtedly boost electric vehicle sales across the US. Their primary responsibilities will be to develop and engage a retailer network for ZENN's electric low-speed vehicle (LSV), which was introduced in the US late last year.
Mrs. Northrup, who holds a Bachelors degree in Business from Barry University in Miami, worked with Bombardier to launch their Neighborhood Electric Vehicle in the late 1990s. In 2001, she joined Ford Motor Company as the person in charge of dealer development, training, marketing and consumer awareness. Mrs. Northrup is also credited for launching the single largest electric vehicle project then in the U.S., the Clean Commute Program in 2002, which incorporated over 150 units. She will be leading the Midsouth and Southeast expansion. As for Mr. Burmeister, he brings nine years of electric vehicle experience to ZENN Motor Company and will head up its retailer growth efforts across the Western U.S. His most recent appointment was as District Sales Manager with Global Electric Motors (GEM), an international electric vehicle manufacturing company. Now that's good news for all green folks in the land of Uncle Sam. photo: Zenn
