The promise of an “effortless, exclusive and exhilarating” driving experience

Having enlarged its product offering with the launch of its first SUV, the Bentayga, Bentley is turning its focus increasingly to electric vehicles. A plug-in hybrid version of the Bentayga is scheduled for 2018, and the luxury carmaker intends thereafter to produce at least one all-electric model.

Bentley Motors’ chairman and chief executive Wolfgang Dürheimer reiterated this commitment during the recent auto shows in Geneva and Shanghai, where the company unveiled the latest edition of the Bentley EXP 12 Speed 6e concept as part of a process of obtaining consumer feedback.

The new model promises to maintain the standard of quality and refinement expected of a Bentley, as well as cutting-edge and high-performance technologies like a rapid inductive charging system and on-board concierge-style services designed to make the driving experience stress-free and effortless.

In terms of design, the Bentley EXP 12 Speed 6e takes its inspiration from the architectural domain, but also from nature and from aircraft aerodynamics. Copper elements and an illuminated 6e emblem are just two of the features that demarcate the concept as an electric car. Inside, the entire central console is made of a single piece of curved glass that encompasses a high-definition LED screen display.
