It’s not often we get so excited about a luxury saloon, especially not one from a company that’s, let’s be honest, isn’t known for the most exciting vehicles on the road (despite McConaughey’s glowing endorsements…). However, when it comes to the brand new 2017 Lincoln Continental, the American brand’s got our attention.
Unveiled to an eager Canadian public at the Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto, this gorgeous new flagship model from Lincoln dropped jaws in a very good way.
With absolutely stunningly sophisticated and modern lines, the 2017 Lincoln Continental is a pleasant and mature departure from the current crop of vehicles housed in the American stable. E-latch door handles make a serious statement, as do the bold one-piece grille up front, along with the LED headlamps. Inside, a 30-way adjustable front seat along with SYNC 3 and an available rear seat that’s as technologically and luxury packed as the front seat ensures this new Lincoln Continental is as high-end as it promises to be on paper.
A projected 400 horses is set to gallop out of the available twin-turbocharged 3.0L GTDI V6 engine. And Canadian ears everywhere perked up at the availability of AWD, as well.
Everything about this luxuriously large saloon grabs our attention. Look for it to go on sale in the fall of 2016.
