Mathias Ekström (Audi A4) wins the ninth round of the DTM championship while Martin Tomczyk (Audi A4) takes third place, and secures the title before the final round of the season in Hockenheim. Bruno Spengler (Mercedes C Class) takes 7th place.

Qualifying was difficult for Tomczyk and Spengler, the two championship rivals. But, in the race, while the german driver was able to climb up to third position, Spengler struggled in the mid-field. He took ninth place at the finish, but moved up to seventh after Renger Van der Zande and David Coulthard were disqualified.

Mathias Ekstrom takes his second win in a row, and now stands only two points behind Spengler in championship standings. The Canadian driver will try to defend his second position in Hockenheim. Filipe Albuquerque takes a sensational second place, and sets his first DTM podium finish. It was a great day for Audi, with six cars in the top 6.
