The updated 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe has more attitude than ever, with bold new lines that make a huge visual impact. The engines now use aluminum alloy for lighter weight and better thermal efficiency.
Hyundai fitted the 3.8L V6 with sophisticated GDI direct-injection technology, boosting output to 348 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. The new-and-improved Genesis Coupe can now bound from 0 to 100 km/h in just over 5 seconds; top speed is limited at 240 km/h.
As for the 4-cylinder, both its turbocharger and intercooler have been tweaked to improve operating efficiency. The Genesis Coupe 2.0T now cranks out 274 hp and 275 lb-ft of torque on premium fuel. The engine’s anti-knock sensors automatically adjust ignition timing and engine mapping if regular fuel is used.
