Being introduced in a North American premiere at the 2017 Montreal Auto Show, the Hyundai RN30 is a new high-performance concept that made its initial appearance last year in Paris. The sleek sports car previews the future N (as in Nürburgring) banner being developed by Hyundai.
Based on the latest generation of the Hyundai Elantra hatchback, and developed in close partnership between Hyundai Motorsport, Hyundai’s technical centre in Europe, and the company’s high-performance vehicle division in South Korea, the RN30 is a sports car in shape, in demeanour, and in the extreme sport driving experience it promises, in large part thanks to its highly aerodynamic design.
This car features a performance-tuned 2.0L engine (375 hp, 332 lb-ft of torque), and is currently in development and on track for a production version before the end of this year. We’ll be keeping you informed of any and all updates as they come.
