Less than 70 days to go before the opening of the world’s most prestigious tennis tournament, and Jaguar has used the setting of the famed Center Court at Wimbledon to offer a first look at its upcoming XF Sportbrake wagon.
The new Sportbrake will launch officially this summer and team up with the XF sedan to give Jaguar a potent one-two punch in the mid-size luxury car market.
“With XF Sportbrake we’ve created a silhouette which sweeps towards the rear, almost into the distance, and really gives the car a sense of speed and sportiness,” explained Jaguar Director of Design Ian Callum. “It will bring new levels of practicality to the range without sacrificing the dynamic design and agile handling our customers expect.”
Jaguar is not alone in revisiting the family wagon market; recent months have seen new entrants into the segment from Volvo (V90), Porsche (Panamera Sport Turismo) and Buick (Regal TourX).
