Fourth generation looks impressive

The all-new, fourth-generation Kia Rio made its world debut at the 2016 Paris Auto Show, and Kia says it was designed and engineered to appeal to more people than ever before.

As the Korean manufacturer's global best-selling model (16% of annual sales), the sub-compact Rio will build on the outgoing model's key strengths―design, low running costs, and high practicality―with more desirability, a more enjoyable drive, and some of the most advanced safety features in its class.

The redesigned exterior gives the car a distinctive new look and more mature character, while its driver-oriented cabin is said to be the most spacious in the segment. Cargo capacity is now 325 litres.

As for technology, the new Kia Rio will offer both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration, and will be the first sub-compact car to offer Autonomous Emergency Braking with pedestrian recognition.

Production will take place in Mexico, with deliveries set to start in the first quarter of 2017.
